Converse is once again experimenting with classics, showing the evolution of the brand on the street. For spring, the brand's offerings will feature many variations inspired by the iconic Chuck and other legends from Converse. The new Twisted Classic collection is a crazy mash-up and plays with proportion, comfort and expression. This concept is evident in the creative collaboration with JW Anderson, who brought the Run Star Hike from the streets to the runways. The Run Star Hike combines the upper of the iconic Chuck Taylor model with a bold EVA foam sole. With its unique construction, as well as features like accentuated rubber outsole and prominent placement of the Converse star, the shoe's silhouette delivers a sense of enhanced comfort and better posture. The Run Star Hike will be available in a seasonal offering from Converse this season - debuting in white and black before returning in other colors. Converse is also introducing an all-new Converse CPX70 model. The Chuck's upper again serves as the starting point, but gets a completely different character thanks to the unique sole. The model combines components from the heritage of basketball products - the design of the sole is a combination of the rear part coming from the ERX model of the late 80s, the middle part from the One Star model and the front part from the Pro Leather collection. This style is both familiar and unexpected. It creates a new quality that is unmistakably associated with Converse's basketball collection, while the EVA foam in the heel and front of the shoe will ensure all-day comfort. The iconic Chucks and unforgettable 70s have been brought together in the Chuck Taylor All Star and Chuck 70s series, enhanced by the unconventional energy of Converse's archival prints, the use of bold colors, overlapping logo graphics and a large Chuck star patch. Everything that is best in Converse has been given a new quality. The Twisted Classic collection will be available in Converse stores, partner stores and on converse.co.uk from January 16.
